So, everyone who visits this site has to see this commercial aired in the UK recently by Heinz for their new line of “Deli Style Mayo’s”.
Since it was aired it received as of now 205 complaints by homophobes and was removed…….

So, listening to the news on Gaydar Radio out of London, (England) we hear about the lawsuit now going on from three residents of Lesbos (one of the Greek Islands) where the resident are also known as Lesbian,ie. people of Britain becomes British, America become American, Canada become Canadians – you get the point.
The law suit is against a Gay rights group “Homosexual and Lesbian Community of Greece” use of the word Lesbian in the group name, calling it an “insult to the identity” of the people of Lesbos. Apparently the person quoted has said his “sister can’t say she is a Lesbian!”
This brings me back to an earlier post I did about a town named Fucking, does this make them Fuckish or Fuckingish?
So I got an e mail this morning from the George Michael Fan Club – no comments please – seems good old George is going to do a North American Tour, with 25 dates in 25 Cities, thankfully Toronto (my home town of 22 years) is on that list, YAY!!!! I may not be first in line, but you can bet this is one concert we’re not going to miss. I guess ticket prices have yet to be set, however I paid $550 (X2) to see Barbra last year, hopefully the tickets will be sightly cheaper.
Of course when I sit at the computer I find one link leads to another and I end up finding this video posted on youtube, it’s taken from the British TV show Extras, a
Ricky Gervais Produced show (he also brought us The Office). Watch the whole thing, it’s just George doing what he does best….
Well, it took a few days for me to catch up with my Friend R. in Belgium to find out about Radio Donna.
His update is
“Radio Donna is not a gay station, it’s a gay friendly radio station and probably the most popular radio station in Belgium. The music they are playing is primarily from the charts and on Friday and Saturday evenings a more clubby atmosphere.”
Apparently “it’s State owned, so they have lot’s of money to make their commercials crazy and funny”. The Station is also broadcast out of Flanders so is broadcast only in Dutch.
I do know we’re going to be checking out their broadcast on Friday and Saturday evenings.

I have a special fondness for this clip as I’m in it…… As Donnarama jumps off the stage at 2:27 into the clip, I’m the Guys she jumps on and makes feel her fake boobs. What an evening, we already have a table reserved for the whole run next Year! The clip also has a cameo appearance by the winner from the previous year Tulsi.

City Council in Philadelphia is moving ahead with a $199,000 rent increase (from $1) on that Cities Scout Chapter “The Cradle of Liberty Council”, because they have so far refused to accept openly Gay Scouts and Scout leaders.
Philadelphia Solicitor Romulo L.Diaz Jr. states that Mayor John Street, City Council and the Fairmont Park Commission (City landlord) have been asking the Scouts for the last year for a clear cut anti-discrimination policy. So far this has not been produced. Diaz says the Scouts have been given a choice: agree definitively in writing to stop the discrimination, or pay a new rent at market value!
“They had been put on notice over the last year by the mayor, the City Council and the Fairmount Park Commission that they had a choice to make,” Diaz said in a phone interview with Fox News. “They need to provide evidence that they would not engage in discriminatory practices against gays as either Scout masters or Boy Scouts. …. They have either not responded or essentially played the victim.”
The article goes on to say that while the Boy Scouts of America doesn’t allow openly Gay members, the do have that fabulous “don’t ask, don’ tell policy”. According to Jeff Jubelirer a spokesman for the Cradle of Liberty Council, “We know there are gay Scouts. Of course there are. We don’t care. Nobody cares. We tried to change the policy. National wouldn’t allow us. We’re trying to do the right thing as all parties are concerned.”
Now not being from the US, but from that little Country just North of there (Canada), shouldn’t/couldn’t this issue be attacked the same way that Gay marriage/Civil Unions are being handled by various States (and previously successfully in Canada), the nibble away approach? That is each Chapter make there own rules. After all Canada started the slippery slope to Gay Marriage, which is legal her by making it legal Province by Province, until basically it was legal in almost the whole Country. In the US case, Gay Marriage is now allowed Massachusetts, Civil Unions are now recognized in Connecticut, Vermont, New Jersey and California. As of January 1st 2008 include New Hampshire in that fold. Legal Unions are now recognized in Maine, Hawaii, District of Columbia, Oregon and (as of January 1st 2008) Washington.
Not wanting to get too Political on this site, we should keep in mind that Public policy and Laws are just that! PUBLIC.
In a stunning revelation during a sell out appearance at Carnegie Hall, Albus Dumbledore has been outed (albeit posthumously), by creator, and possibly his new arch nemesis J.K. Rowling going from battling “He who must not be named” to confirming he has “a Love that dare not speak its name!”
According to Rowling, Dumbledore never recovered from his doomed love (affair with?) for Gellert Grindelwald!!
Speculation has run rampant on various websites, due I guess to the fact that Dumbledore has never really had a Female love interest, and has always kept his past a dark (pink) secret. Commenting on this Rowling said “Falling in love can blind us to an extent”.

While keeping an eye on the local (Provincial) election coverage, provided by Canada’s leading (in my opinion) newspaper the Globe and Mail website, we found this new video from Jeanne Phillips – better known to North Americans as “Dear Abby”. In it she states that she, and her family are “very inclusive”, and that her family has “never been homophobic.”

Well, I guess we all need a good laugh (NOT)! It seems – according to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Gay people do not exist in Iran! Well if Gay people don’t exist, why do they execute them…on a regular basis. His response, to a question put to him at Columbia University, about the persecution of Gays (amongst other elements of a normal Western Society) was
“In Iran, we don’t have homosexuals like in your country. We don’t have that in our country. In Iran, we do not have this phenomenon. I don’t know who’s told you we have it.â€

(personal thoughts on this bring to mind a certain European Guy with a mustache named Adolf! The only difference, he acknowledged Gay people existed, and made a plan to exterminate us all.)
